First call for papers for the session on Hybrids and hybridity (28-29 March 2014)
The session will examine the phenomenon of hybridity – combining or blending elements from different domains – in all its aspects in language, literature, and culture.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
- conceptual integration (blending) as reflected in language or images
- hybrid genres and modalities
- hybrid cultural identities
- literary representation of hybrid creatures
- etc.
The language of the conference will be English.
The venue of the conference: Department of English Philology, 114/118 Slowackiego str., Piotrkow Trybunalski
Conference fee: Full 200 PLN /50 Euro; PhD students: 150 PLN/40 Euro.
